Work to bring back vital seagrass meadows that increase biodiversity help tackle climate change and improve water quality in the Firth of Forth, has begun in three key locations: Tyninghame Beach in East Lothian, Pettycur Bay in Fife and Dalmeny’s Drum Sands.

COP15 - The 15th meeting of the global Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) – concluded on the 19 December 2022 in Montreal, Canada with a significant agreement to tackle the urgent nature loss crisis. The agreement is intended to galvanise action to tackle the global drivers of biodiversity loss and restore nature and ecosystems.

We are very saddened to hear of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Her unwavering service to the country, support for communities, charities and volunteers and her warmest of smiles will forever be remembered. We remember the huge sense of pride when Her Majesty & HRH Prince Philip visited North Berwick and the Scottish Seabird Centre to present our volunteers with the Queens Award for Enterprise in 2009. Our sincere condolences go out to the whole Royal Family at this very sad time.
