Policy and Campaigns Officer

Closing date: 20 October 2025

Scotland is home to globally important seabird populations, yet most species are in decline - and Scotland’s natural environment is one of the most degraded in the world. Change is urgently needed to stop extinctions and restore our seas - and this exciting new role is your chance to help deliver that change. Working as part of the Scottish Seabird Centre's conservation team, and collaborating closely with the CEO and communications colleagues, you will build a new policy and campaigns programme, mobilising our supporters and using your expertise to influence policy for good. We are seeking an individual with strong advocacy skills, a passion for nature, and a background in policy and/or campaigns, underpinned by solid organisational and programme management skills.

Job type: Permanent

The Scottish Seabird Centre is committed to recruiting a team that reflects the diverse community we are part of. We warmly welcome and encourage applications from people currently under-represented in the nature sector, including people from ethnically diverse backgrounds, those who are living with a disability, and LGBTQ+ people.

We occasionally have opportunities for student placements / internships. Current vacancies are listed above. If there are no roles listed, it means that we currently do not have a live opportunity but please check back in the future. You can also sign up for our e-newsletter here.
