Meet our fantastic Visitor Experience Manager - Retail, Dawn! Dawn plays a key role in providing our visitors and members with a rewarding and inspiring experience in our gift shop, and is committed to sourcing new, sustainable products to expand our retail offering in a positive, nature-friendly way.

What's Your Role?

I ensure our giftshop is stocked full of exciting, sustainable, nature-inspired gifts for our customers & members. I enjoy sourcing new products & I’m currently working on expanding our bespoke ranges. I help organise our members shopping events too.

What’s your favourite thing about working here?

I’d have to say the wildlife & our location. Although I’m mainly based in the giftshop, I really love seeing the beautiful location & amazing wildlife every day & having the opportunity to learn more about them. It is always lovely to see returning members and customers too!

What’s your favourite marine species?

It’s hard to pick just one, but I do love guillemots. These sleek wee seabirds swim underwater to feed and can dive incredibly deep. Their chicks are referred to as ‘jumplings’ because they are often seen jumping from their cliff nest to the sea at only a few weeks old!
