Winter Wonders

In the depths of winter, life slows down and we shelter from darker, colder weather. But there’s still plenty going on in the natural world.

Through Winter Wonders at the Seabird Centre, discover the secret lives of local wildlife, witness the subtle shift in seasons, and appreciate the soft glow of the setting sun across the coastal landscapes.

As part of our 2024 Winter Wonders programme we're thrilled to host an exhibition by East Lothian artist and illustrator Eilidh Muldoon. You can also see her work on the ‘Window of Wonder’ our entrance walkway and on her specially created festive greeting card in the Centre shop.

Explore the exhibition and then sit down and coorie-in’ in the welcoming harbour room space created by Reuse Scotland where you can enjoy our library of books on nature.

  • Tickets are included with entry to the Discovery Experience or Free for members.
  • Exhibition opens on 15 November at 10am and marks the start of our festive members weekend.

Eilidh Muldoon

Eilidh Muldoon Biography

I studied at Edinburgh College of Art, graduating in 2013 with my MFA in Illustration. I now teach part time at the college and work freelance from my wee home studio. The beautiful landscapes and iconic buildings of the cities, towns and islands around Scotland inspire much of my work. My work is often very detailed and intricate, a mixture of hand-drawing and printmaking methods. I also illustrate for books and am fascinated by the power of images to communicate stories to people of all ages.
