We're thrilled to welcome Chris Bailey from RSPB Scotland to talk about their Corncrake Calling project, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Started in 2020 this four-year project looks to save these iconic and secretive birds through land management, education and advocacy. Join Chris to find out how RSPB is working to deliver these objectives in partnership with farmers, government and the public.
Chris is the Advisory Manager for RSPB Scotland, managing a team of advisors who assist farmers and landowners by providing advice and support on a range of issues – from helping priority species including corncrake, corn bunting, waders and black grouse through to managing important farmland, upland and woodland habitats.
You can find out more information about the Corncrake Calling project here.
This is a FREE talk but numbers are limited, and tickets must be booked in advance.
The talk will take place in the Wildlife Theatre in the Discovery Experience. Please note that entry to the Discovery Experience is not included with your tickets. If you would like to book to visit the Discovery Experience tickets can be purchased here.
The Scottish Seabird Centre is thrilled to be hosting, Operation Broken Feather, an interactive exhibition about the Corncrake Calling project. This is FREE to visit and we recommend allowing time before or after the talk to visit the exhibition.
