Scottish Seabird Centre – Temporary Closure – in response to COVID-19
In view of the latest Scottish Government and Public Health Scotland advice it is with regret that we have to advise our members and visitors that the Scottish Seabird Centre is today (19 March) closing it’s doors for the time-being. The safety and wellbeing of our staff, volunteers and visitors is of paramount importance to us at this time.
We are immensely grateful for all the kind words and offers of support we have received since reopening our newly refreshed Discovery Experience and Learning Hub last year. Many visitors who have dropped in over the last few days have also told us just how much they also enjoy coming into the Centre to socialise. We are sorry that we cannot continue to offer our services just now. Your continued support has meant a lot to our dedicated front-line staff team, at this uncertain time, and importantly has helped support the conservation and education work that Charity delivers.
During the closure of our Visitor Centre, our dedicated team will continue to work behind the scenes on project resources, new interactives and to offer new digital resources for members and participants in our activities and events. We will keep you up to date with these as they become available via our social media channels.
If you have any queries please do get in touch via mailto:info@seabird.org. One of the team will get back to you although it may take a little longer than usual.
We will continue to closely monitor the official advice and will keep you updated on our position through our social media channels and website.
We hope to be able to welcome you back in the future. In the meantime please stay safe and well.
Susan Davies, Chief Executive, Scottish Seabird Centre
