Puffin Fest walks
At Scotland’s Puffin Fest we celebrate one the most popular seabirds: the puffin! We want to spread the word about the importance of conserving and protecting our seabirds for future generations, while having lots of family-friendly fun!

See below for details of the Puffin Fest walking activities. All events are included with admission, unless otherwise stated. Adult £8.95/ child £4.95 (under 3 FREE)/ conc £6.95/ family (2+2) £25. Please request tickets for the Puffin Scoping Walk on arrival at the Centre.
Wednesday 25 May
Walking with Birds
Free – plus secure ½ price entry to the Discovery Centre

Join our Walking with Birds group, for a special tour of Hopes Reservoir. Take note of all the bird life you see during your nature walk. Participants are invited to return to the Seabird Centre after the walk, for a special talk about puffins and ½ price entry to the Discovery Centre. Please meet in the Hopes Reservoir car park, wear sturdy footwear and allow for all kinds of weather. Bring binoculars, if you have them, and a packed lunch.

A Puffin Scoping Walk on the Wild Side

Meet at the Admissions Desk
A guided sea-scope walk led by East Lothian Council Ranger Service. Join Ranger, Dave Wild, on the rocky shore to learn more about seabirds and the array of coastal wildlife around us. Following the walk, participants will have the opportunity to use the cameras in the Discovery Centre to try and spot what was seen during the excursion.
