The Scottish Seabird Centre forms part of the John Muir Way: view downloadable maps of the route. We have bike racks and the North Berwick train is specially equipped with additional bike storage.

With direct and frequent services from Edinburgh with ScotRail, getting the train to North Berwick is easy. It's a very scenic 30 minute journey through countryside and coastline, and the Centre is a 15 minute walk from North Berwick train station. For train information you can call +44 (0)8457 550033.
Please note this walk is downhill on the way to the Centre and uphill on the way back to the station. There's a map at the station so you can see where to go.

Only 25 miles/ 40kms from the centre of Edinburgh, the Scottish Seabird Centre and North Berwick are signposted from the A1. Get directions from your location here.
When you arrive in North Berwick follow the brown tourist signs to the Seabird Centre’s pay-and-display car park, we are 5 minutes walk from here. Just head for the sea!
The rates are £1.50 per hour or £5 per day, and FREE from October to February. All parking income supports the work of the charity.
Please note, there is disabled parking adjacent to the Centre and in the Centre's car park.
