A bird or a plane: What is a bird, what is a seabird and can you identify one gull from another?
Label the bird: Identify and label the gull, the gannet and the puffin.
Lethal litter: Working on the beach or in the Centre, record the litter you see. Create a display to inform others of the issues of marine litter.
Life in a rockpool: Identify and colour the rockpool creatures, read a graph, make a graph, draw a rockpool, fill in the missing words or just do the word search!
Marine food chains: Find the links to make the chains and make a gannet food chain mobile.
Seabird Centre surroundings: Simple maps to plotting grids, reading compass points and finding features.
Seabird classification: Classification key and identification grids.
Seabird life cycles: Puffin and gannet lifecycles.
Seals: Reading and note taking for differing abilities.
Seashore safety: Template codes of conduct for a visit to the beach. Agree as a class or write your own.
Sorting living things: What can you find at the beach? Investigate different shells.
Toxic tide: Investigate the effects of oil and detergents on feathers.
