Bass Landing

Our exclusive Bass Rock landing trips are an unforgettable experience for photographers and wildlife enthusiasts.
You will be with a highly experienced crew and guide at all times and there will be the opportunity to see the amazing spectacle of chumming (gannets diving for fish at 60mph/100kmph!) and the awesome sight of the 150,000 strong Bass Rock gannet colony.
You will be in a small group (max 11 people) and have the opportunity to be on the Rock for around 3 hours. At the end of the trip you will receive a certificate to record your landing on this world-famous island.
Gannets diving around the Bass Rock has been voted number one in Chris Packham's Nature's Top 40.
Before you go or on your return zoom in on the Bass Rock action in our Discovery Centre.
Here our guide, Maggie Sheddan, gives some insight into a Bass landing trip and you can also check out this fantastic blog by Karen McDonald or this one by Zan at Wild Ocean Photography.
You can also keep up-to-date with what you can see each week via our wildlife sightings blog!
